Prohibition which was also known as The Noble Experiment prohibited citizens from alcohol. It was against the law to sell or manufacture alcohol. In some countries of the Muslum World consuming of alcohol is forbidden. Alcohol was sold underground in places called Speakeasies; they were a place known as a get away. Alcohol was sold without being permited by the government. People sang and danced to bands who played there every night, it was an occasion some looked forward to all day. Even though moonshining was illegal people were tired of letting controversial laws stand in there way of having fun. People smuggled white brandy and gin from Canada and other exports. If police members found out about a speakeasy they would raid the building and pour out all of the alcohol as shown in this picture.
